Why Dava Ann Neal

I am a true conservative who will not be bought by wealthy donors, nor get rich on backdoor deals, nor accept kickbacks, etc. I am capable of being a team player as long as that team does not use tactics that hurt the people of my district nor the people of Utah. I am frustrated when people fall prey to empty campaign promises just to get elected. I am frustrated that we keep electing the same people for 8, 10, 12 years and expecting positive change that doesn’t benefit them – sure they can throw in a good bill every so often and then are squishy. Does anyone research their records and not just their practiced words?

The only entities that I consider myself beholden to is the Holy Scriptures, the U.S. Constitution, the Utah State Constitution when not out of alignment, the Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence, 99% of the Utah Republican Party Platform and My Conscience.

I will listen to the voices of THE PEOPLE – I am smart and there are people that know more in one area or another and are smarter than I – and I want to hear their opinions, their visions & their solutions! I will take their fight to the HOUSE FLOOR even if there is nothing in it for me. At the end of the day, it is not about steak dinners or instant gratification or alliances just to get along – when the rubber meets the road on the House Floor, even if I, Dava, have to fight Goliath (ie…..Big Government) I can and I will not put up with shenanigans that hurt my People or this great & unique State of Utah .

I have pledged not gather signatures to “buy” my way onto the ballot.

I am confident that I am The Right Person, at The Time (now) and for The Right Reasons!

Currently serving or have served as a Precinct Chair attending County Central Committee meetings where I get to increase my working knowledge of Parliamentary Procedures and Robert’s Rules. I have knocked on nearly every house door in my Precinct. As a County Delegate & State or Alternate State Delegate, I have studied the records of incumbent candidates & vetted them and new candidates hard. I have not yet served as a Legislator, however, I have been reading legislative bills since age 18, and while not an expert in every area, I know I am uniquely qualified on that level.

I may appear to some as unassuming, but do not under-estimate the passion inside of me to fight for key issues on the House Floor! I can and will absolutely hold my own. I will bring back the grass-roots meaning on the House Floor to represent Utah!!
